I look at goals (69) and (70), like 'You're fun. Let's hang out.' I really like my co-workers, but my work ethic definitely gets in the way sometimes. I am the type of person who works at work (not that my co-workers don't of course), but sometimes I have to pry myself away from my mission to cultivate my friendships in the workplace. I'm always concerned with being called 'the slacker' if I stop to chat in the break room for 5 minutes. It's weird. Tell me to stop.
So, in an effort to curb this habit, I'm making the extra effort to hang out with my SUPA FUN co-workers outside of the office. And, I'm telling myself 'get a grip' more often.
(69) - Read about my Celtic experience here. I was excited to go for three reasons:
1. Free ticket
2. I wanted to go already (nerd!)
3. The opportunity to hang out with a bunch of co-workers
It was lovely! Thumbs up!
(70) - I really miss birthday lunches. We must all have birthdays in the summer, because I remember there were a lot then and not a lot now. I was able to go to Michelle's birthday lunch (actually I think it was a celebration of two Michelles and an intern!) at Bracco about a week ago. I really haven't seen this group much lately, so I was thrilled to be invited and able to go. Hurrah!
